Rob originally trained in architecture. Motivated by an early-career experience with a micro-financing housing lender in Cape Town, he joined a Washington DC-based emerging market lender where he worked in infrastructure financing across Africa.
After completing the MBA, Rob spent 10 years working across several African markets supporting new investments. These activities included aquaculture, which has become Rob’s professional focus.
A founding partner in NewSeas, Rob develops and invests in sustainable aquaculture production and related areas of the industry's value chain. NewSeas’s business model is about linking high potential projects with international best-practice expertise for projects that pair profitability with a best-practice environmental and community footprint. NewSeas is currently developing production businesses in Asia and North Africa.
