Patrick Beattie is the CEO and a co-founder of Redbird, dedicated to expanding healthcare in Ghana and across sub-Saharan Africa. Simply put, Redbird believes that healthcare should be much more convenient, not as a luxury, but as a necessity. A 2014-2015 Skoll Scholar, Patrick has focused his career on using novel technology to address unmet needs in Global Health and Global Development.
Before the MBA, Patrick was a co-founder of Diagnostics For All, a non-profit medical diagnostics company using paper-microfluidic technology to develop novel point-of-care diagnostics specifically designed for low-resource settings. Before co-founding Diagnostics For All, Patrick spent three years as a chemistry and mathematics teacher in The Gambia and Guinea, as a US Peace Corps volunteer. He received a degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University. Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Patrick resides in Accra, Ghana.
