Jordyan Corcoran

Based in Nairobi, Jordyan is Chief Strategy Officer for a growing fintech company called 4G Capital that provides enterprise training and instant, unsecured working capital to micro-businesses across Africa.

Jordyan focuses on the creation of innovative new products, partnerships, and countries, such as providing much needed credit into an aggregated value chain of manufacturers, suppliers, and payment providers working alongside micro-businesses to unlock value for all parties.

Jordyan is an angel investor and specialist in financial inclusion and impact investment who has worked in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. A graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service focused on Economics and Mandarin Chinese, she received her MBA from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School as a Skoll Scholar supported by the Skoll Center for Social Entrepreneurship.

A former investment banker with JP Morgan, she subsequently worked with Skoll Awardee peer-to-peer lender Kiva to support microfinance clients across Asia. She also worked with Skoll Awardees Friends International to create sustainable social business models to provide vocational training for street kids graduating from their drug rehab program. Prior to moving to into her current role with 4G Capital, she worked with InfraCo Africa, a DfID-backed impact investor into Sub-Saharan African energy projects.
