Susana completed a doctorate in HIV Immunology at the Faculty of Clinical Medicine, University of Oxford. Prior to the MBA, she worked as an Analytical Project Manager and Postdoc Research Fellow in a clinical trial for an HIV vaccine in Oxford.
Since completing her MBA, Susana has been working as a Consultant for the United Nations in various locations (including New York, Geneva, Luanda) and with Ministries of Health. She co-founded and acted as Executive Director of the Portuguese Social Entrepreneurship Institute and founded a digital health start-up. She teaches at UCL and is a scientific advisor for the MPP at the Oxford Blavatnik School of Government. She is currently the Programme Director of the new Healthcare Management Initiative at University College London.
