Sujeet Kumar

Sujeet is an Indian politician of the Biju Janata Dal Party and a Member of Parliament (MP), representing Odisha in the Rajya Sabha. He is also a Lawyer and trained Arbitrator, practising in the Supreme Court of India.

Sujeet's journey has been marked by a commitment to leadership and service. Immediately after completing his Oxford MBA, he joined the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva as a Global Leadership Fellow (GLF). Sujeet then continued his educational journey
at Harvard University's Kennedy School (HKS), where he pursued a mid-career Master's in Public Administration (MPA). “I always wanted to be a Political Entrepreneur. My year as an inaugural Skollar enriched me with best practices, profound perspectives
and deep insights into social entrepreneurship; which are to date enabling me, as a Member of Parliament (MP), to make a difference not just in policy-making but also in bringing those policies to the grassroots in transforming the lives for millions
of citizens. My year at Oxford has significantly helped me in shaping my leadership style - displaying the best entrepreneurial traits mixed with social leadership.”

Suheet currently mentors and advises the Kalinga Kusum Foundation, a social enterprise dedicated to creating and accelerating livelihood and entrepreneurial opportunities for youth in rural and semi-urban Odisha. In his role as a Member of Parliament, Sujeet serves as the Chairman of the Committee on Petitions of the Rajya Sabha, making him one of the youngest ever to chair a Parliamentary Committee. Sujeet's diverse experiences and unwavering dedication to making a difference in both public and private sectors are a testament to his exceptional leadership and commitment to positive change.
