Tamsin is the co-founder of a tech innovation and entrepreneurship hub for Africa in Cape Town called Workshop17, and an experienced senior strategy director. She originates, designs and develops projects and relationships that result in successful new high-impact initiatives or investments in Africa, and believes best way to predict the future is to create it.
Prior to her Oxford MBA, Tamsin was an advisor to the Premier of South Australia and led the expansion of a social enterprise that helped mothers living with HIV to reduce transmission to their babies called Mothers2mothers. She now has a business clients spanning corporates, peak bodies, funds, governments, new ventures and non-profits, Tamsin’s work focuses on southern or east Africa and gives traction to big ideas that can make a difference. By combining commercial expertise with social and corporate innovation skills, she helps create new ventures that sustain growth and generate long term shareholder value. Tamsin specialises in global stakeholder and investor engagement, new venture development and business strategy.
Tamsin is a senior advisor to The Africa List, a select private sector network in east and southern Africa powered by the UK’s Development Finance Institution, CDC Group.
